DUFFIN CREEK WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT

Project Description:
One of the largest sewage treatment plants in Canada, the WPCP currently processes sewage from 900,000 York Region residents and 200,000 in Durham Region. But its current 420-million-litre-per-day capacity is expected to be exceeded by 2010. Renovations will also include energy recuperation technologies and a new bio-solid dewatering process. The building is expected to achieve LEED-Silver.

Tresman Steel scope of work includes steel fabrication and erection for the Dewatering Building, Incineration Building, and the Ash Handling Facility. Tresman Steel will fabricate and install approximately 600 tons of structural steel for this project. Tresman Steel will install an additional 250 tons of Miscellaneous Metals.
