Project Description:
The St. Michael's College School Performing Arts Centre is a state-of-the-art facility and centre for teaching and learning. It supports drama and theatre arts and provides a venue for the school's music concerts, public speaking and debate programs as well as lectures and conferences. In addition, it incorporates display space for the school's visual arts program.

The construction cost was about $8 million based upon a September 2008 tender date. It included the cost of theatre equipment, furnishings and motorized rigging. The project was funded entirely through the generous donations of individuals and corporations who support the St. Michael's mission.

St. Michael's college school has been at its current location at Bathurst and St. Clair since 1950. Between 1998 and 2000 the school underwent a major expansion and renovation. The performing arts centre was the fourth and final phase of this revitalization project.

Tresman Steel supplied and installed 100 tons of structural steel for this project.
